Senior Vice President, Chief Growth Officer and President, Population Health
Dave Thompson serves as Mercy’s senior vice president, chief growth officer and president of population health. He joined Mercy in 2020 and has helped design many of Mercy’s current value-based contracts, with their crucial combination of quality, safety and reduced cost for payers and most importantly, Mercy patients. Dave’s focus is transformative growth and population health, helping to simultaneously transform the care model and payment model to meet consumer needs. Prior to Mercy, he worked for more than 20 years in various senior level financial and operational roles within the health care industry, including primary care, population health, health system and health plan payer sectors.
Education and Credentials
Dave Thompson holds a bachelor’s in accounting with an emphasis in management and accounting information systems from Oklahoma State University.
