President of Mercy Jefferson Communities
Dan Eckenfels has served as president of Mercy Jefferson Communities since October 2023. Eckenfels is a certified public accountant who started his career in health care as a financial consultant for hospitals across the country. He joined Jefferson Regional Medical Center in 2011 as its chief financial officer and continued in that role when the hospital joined Mercy in 2013 as Mercy Hospital Jefferson. His service at Mercy includes time as the CFO at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis and his most recent role was chief administrative officer and CFO for Mercy Jefferson Communities.
Education and Credentials
Eckenfels, a native of Jefferson County, Missouri, earned his masters degree in accountancy from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of CPAs.
