Our highly trained, board-certified surgeons are experienced to provide you with the best surgical options for your particular case. Our general surgery clinic provides a variety of surgical procedures and treatments for patients in Oklahoma City.
Our clinic specializes in heartburn relief and welcomes patients with reflux symptoms, those not responding to typical treatments, concerns regarding reflux medication side effects as well as those desiring a comprehensive evaluation and education. Patients will go through a thorough evaluation, given an accurate diagnosis, and be provided with symptomatic relief.
This part of our Oklahoma City clinic is spearheaded by nurse practitioner Jaime Baum. Jaime specializes in assessing and treating esophageal disorders, as well as interpreting esophageal testing such as esophageal manometry and pH studies. She works closely with general surgery physicians and gastroenterologists. For more information or to refer a patient, please call (405) 749-4231.
If you suffer from chronic acid reflux, you may be a candidate for the LINX® Reflux Management System, a less-invasive option for when medication no longer provides adequate control of your symptoms. LINX is now offered at our clinic to patients in Oklahoma City. Both Dr. Joseph Buendia and Dr. Steven Magness were the first trained physicians in Oklahoma for the LINX procedure and Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City was the first hospital to make this option available to Oklahoma residents.
