Your vision is used to take in the world around you and experience the joys of life. Mercy Eye Care would love to help you experience life to the fullest. We're dedicated to maximizing your vision, protecting your eyes and finding a look you adore.
At Mercy Eye Care, we offer routine eye exams, glasses and contact lenses. An annual eye health exam is a vital part of preventative healthcare. Eye exams can often detect other systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and even cancer. During the exam, our optometrists look for these diseases as well as write prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses. Our caring eye doctors focus on helping our patients see better while our experienced opticians assist them in looking and feeling their best. We have a wide array of frames from newborn sizes to the latest trendy styles. We accept many vision insurance plans including VSP and EyeMed. If you've already had an eye exam, we accept prescriptions from outside doctors. We promise to deliver uncompromising service from a team you can trust.
An annual eye health exam is a vital part of preventative healthcare. Eye exams can often detect other systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and even cancer. During the exam our optometrists look for these as well as write prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses. Our eye doctors can detect other eye conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Some of these eye disorders can be watched and treated by our optometrists and others would be referred to our ophthalmologists to monitor.
Our optometrists can generally do an eye exam starting at age 4 or 5 years old. It is recommended that all children starting school have an annual eye exam. Some common symptoms related to needing glasses are headaches, squinting, reading slowly and excessive blinking and rubbing of the eyes. If you suspect your child has eye or vision problems and they are too young to identify either letters or pictures, we recommend a pediatric optometrist or ophthalmologist.

A contact lens prescription is different from an eyeglasses prescriptions. Our optometrists take additional measurements of your eyes and ask you questions to determine the right kind of contact lenses for you. If you have never worn contact lenses there is no need to worry. Our opticians will take whatever time needed to teach you how to insert, remove and care for your new contacts.
