    I didn't get the feedback verbally that I was looking for. However, the notes online showed me that she was listening and did address my concerns. I was surprised that there was no physical exam.

    I felt like the NP was either tired or somewhat annoyed with me, but this was the first time meeting her. She left the room saying she needed to go type up the notes and that was the last we saw her. She didn't say goodbye or even show she was thankful that we were there, I just felt like the room was "cold" the whole time I was there. I felt like I was taking up her time, I was able to get a couple of smiles from her, but that was all. I have been very sick and there was no empathy from her. It would have been a better experience if she would have shown more compassion about how I have been feeling, but compassion cannot be taught. I feel like because I didn't feel the need to schedule a routine colonoscopy that's when the room got cold. The positive side is, it was nice to now be an established patient. If things should get worse, I feel as if I have a physician I can call at Mercy Gastroenterology.
