About Andrew Thomas Jackson, MD

Care Philosophy Honestly, I got interested in medicine at an early age. Initially, I wanted to be a pediatrician. But then I've always liked working with my hands. When I got into medical school, I realized orthopedics was an area where I could make an immediate difference. You are not necessarily saving people's lives, but you really can change the quality of their life by giving them an ability to walk pain-free. I found that was so rewarding that I decided to do that. I was in the army. So for a while I was a general orthopedist and I got to work all over the body, which was enjoyable, but I really like doing hip and knee replacements.

        Dr. Jackson was caring and professional. He explained all my options clearly. I have complete confidence in him.

        The doctor was a hip specialist and my diagnosis was bursitis in my right hip. He said if needed I could try injections if the symptoms got worse or I could continue with the topical cream Volteren and home treatment. We agreed I could call for another appointment to get an injection if needed.

        First visit though I went well. They were extremely busy so we're running late with appointments. Dr. Jackson still took the time to show and explain what was going on with my knee. I will be seeing him again for on going treatment. Thank you.
