About Laura Elizabeth Marchi, FNP, DNP

Care Philosophy I became a DNP because I’m a lifelong learner. I like learning new things and I like teaching, especially teaching undergraduate nursing students in the environment where they’ll be working. If I had to choose my favorite patient age range, it would be taking care of the whole family. You’re never just caring for an individual person. It isn’t just the patient you're taking care of. Sometimes you're taking care of the whole family and explaining the process to them. The aspect of my work that excites me the most is teaching patients about their disease process so that they can start with disease prevention, get better and live a healthy long life. If I could offer my patients one piece of advice, it would be to ask every question that’s on your mind. That way, they have a better understanding of their disease process or their health at that given moment.

Laura was a wonderful listener and explained new things to me. I felt the upmost care. And also felt a good listening to a possible permanent solution. I'm very happy with Laura, I'll see her again.

I had a relatively immediate need and they were able to find me a position at a corresponding provider

I'm a little disappointed that I can no longer see my PCP when I have an illness. I understand he is busy, but I'm being lumped in with all other patients who do not have issues such as mine, and they do not understand my needs may not be what they have been taught in training. I will discuss this with my PCP during my annual physical so we can have a better path forward for my healthcare needs.
