Care Philosophy After graduating and completing her surgeon residency at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, she moved to Virginia Commonwealth University for her fellowship in bariatric surgery. Before coming to mercy Dr. Hawver served as the Assistant Professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati and the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at The Christ Hospital in Ohio.

        Dr. Hawver and all of her people, Dr. Hawver and all of the people that worked with her around me, the entire hospital staff, were A number one. I never had one complaint the entire six days I was in there, from nurses to techs to the people that helped her with my surgery. And I came in on an ambulance, so it was beautiful. I get a minute. So I just wanted to say thank you, and I told her that today when I saw her. It was a great experience, and she's a wonderful, wonderful doctor. Thank you all.
