My physician was on call and had to leave in the middle of my appointment and an NP take over the discussion. I work in healthcare and completely understand this need but when I checked in, it was not communicated that my physician was on call and may need to suddenly leave or that she was running late. I was seen I think about 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I love Dr. G and think she is an amazing doc, but it would be great if the delay would have been communicated at check in and the potential need to end the appointment midway but that a different provider would be available. The NP who entered was great and listened but a stressful appointment for me was made more stressful by the lack of communication about the situation of the day. Thank you!
