Care Philosophy I think one of the most important characteristics that a family medicine physician needs are empathy and good listening skills. One of the reasons why I love my profession so much is because I really get to know the patients on a deep, personal level. I feel like my patients tell me things that, they wouldn’t normally tell anyone, and I had just met them 10 minutes ago. And knowing that really helps me come up with a good medical plan for my patients.

        The doctor never asked what issues I wanted to talk about when I had waited a long time to see her. She did set me up with tests I need as I get older but I had other concerns. When I brought one of the issues up she grazed by it and seemed to be in a hurry . In the past when it's a physical appt. doctors seem to take more time and ask me what my concerns are.

        The Medical assistant who checked everyone in at 8:00am had an attitude with every patient. The original administrative assistant was not there to work the check in process and it was clear the medical assistant was irritated she had to do it instead. She was rude to elder patients who were hard of hearing instead of speaking clearly and louder. It was very disappointing to see.
