About Paul Bradley Plowman, MD

Care Philosophy One of my passions as an obstetrics and gynecology physician it to help patients that face chronic and debilitating pelvic pain. Women that go through pregnancy and childbirth are very tough. So, when they come to be in pain, it is my obligation as a provider to figure out what is going on and help her. I love living and working in the in the Ardmore community. I enjoy running into my patients while out at the store or at the local splash pad. It allows me to stay connected to my patients.

It was an initial pregnancy visit after transferring from another OB at 25 weeks. My other OB was leaving OB to be a hospitalist. The visit was very quick. Like less than 15 minutes. Doc said pubic pain was round ligament pain, but after visiting a pelvic floor specialist this week it isn't round ligament pain but Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction. Doc asked no questions about the kind of pain, exactly where it was , etc. I turned to reddit and found information and then scheduled with a pelvic floor specialist and found almost immediate relief and was given the proper guidance. I feel like if the doctor wasn't rushed and actually cared this could have been discussed at the visit. I made it clear I wasn't enjoying pregnancy and I was in pain and it pretty much went undiscussed. I had to remind them I needed a RohGAM shot at my next visit. As for an initial appointment it wasn't what it should have been. I switched OBs right after my anatomy scan and my anatomy scan was never discussed with me by either provider. I feel very uninformed and not sure how comfortable I am with delivering a baby to someone who hears but does not listen and respond. So far the experience hasn't been one I'm enjoying

This Mercy office is amazing. The nurses have always been very kind and helpful and Dr. Plowman was very kind and explained everything to me in my appointment. I couldn't ask for a better place and handle of my care.
