About Robert Anthony Duerr, MD

Care Philosophy Dr. Duerr is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of complex knee and shoulder issues and all sports related injuries. He has a special interest in the treatment of contact sport athletes and currently serves as Team Physician for Lindenwood University Football (NCAA-D1) and as a Consultant for the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). In addition, Dr. Duerr serves as the Director for the Cartilage Repair and Joint Preservation Program at Mercy. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, book chapters and presentations at national and international orthopedic meetings and has been recognized for his expertise in treating ACL tears and has pioneered minimally invasive techniques for ACL reconstruction. Dr. Duerr treats patients of all ages and skill levels and uses a team-based approach to provide each individual patient with a customized treatment plan to ensure a full recovery and a speedy return to sport.

        Very long wait time and doctor did not clearly explain things and did not answer all my questions. He seemed rushed and acted like he had to go right away .
