Care Philosophy For reconstructive urology, which is what I specialize in, I really believe that the patient interaction and the counseling aspect is one of the most important things about the field that I’m in and the surgeries that I do. So, oftentimes, the surgeries that I’m doing are dealing with improving somebody’s quality of life, in addition to treating their disease process. I think the two go hand in hand. I think it’s very important that patients are aware these are all the things that can go wrong. These are the things that you should expect afterwards. I think those are all key components to how to manage all these complex, at times, complex problems.

        I loved that I was recognized immediately upon entering the building, directed to my floor (that I had forgotten), and then directed again upon arriving at the correct floor. Later, when I was received, and then directed to the exam room, I was updated, in a timely manner, why the doctor was running late. That was critical.

        Wonderful experience! Upon entering the building, everyone was so helpful and kind, directing me where to go, asking if I needed any assistance and the care Dr. Ogawa and her Medical asst. provided were top notch! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

        Since the procedure I was supposed too have got canceled once I got there because of lack of communication among the staff, I feel I wasted time off work needlessly. I should have been told it was going to be canceled to make a decision not to go and lose time at work.
