Becker’s Hospital Review says Mercy is among 50 Great Health Systems to Know.
The health care publication researched nonprofit health systems that have several awards for clinical and general excellence. The editorial team noted Mercy’s recent honor as one of Forbes’ 500 Best Employers in America, in addition to an 11th designation as a Most Wired hospital by the American Hospital Association, as well as a supply chain operation award.
Becker’s also reached out to top health care leaders, asking them what systems they felt stood out. Health systems did not pay to be on the list, which includes Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Kaiser Permanente and Mayo Clinic. Click here to read more.
Mercy is the fifth largest Catholic health care system in the U.S. and serves millions annually. Mercy includes 35 acute care hospitals, four heart hospitals, two children’s hospitals, three rehab hospitals and two orthopedic hospitals, nearly 700 clinic and outpatient facilities, 40,000 co-workers and more than 2,000 Mercy Clinic physicians in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Mercy also has outreach ministries in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
