Student Explore Health Careers During Mercy Lincoln MASH Camp

July 31, 2018

Since 2004, Mercy Hospital Lincoln has hosted M*A*S*H Camp in partnership with NEMO AHEC for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Students participate in a variety of activities aimed to spark interest in healthcare and science prior to high school coursework.

Camp instructors include Mercy co-workers, health educators, and faculty from area emergency response services. Students participated in a variety of “hands-on” learning experiences such as dissecting a sheep’s heart, learning from a general surgeon to suture a pig foot, blood typing, first aid, touring an emergency services helicopter and much more.

Students enjoyed two full days of MASH Camp at Mercy Lincoln.
