GRASP group sets meeting schedule

The new Grief Support After a Substance Passing (GRASP) group at Mercy Hospital Jefferson held its first official meeting at 6:30 Tuesday, Jan. 22. The organization was created to offer understanding, compassion and support for those who have lost someone they love through addiction and overdose.

At an organizational “Meet and Greet” event earlier this month at Mercy Jefferson, those who attended decided to begin the new support group with meetings more frequently than once each month. They settled on meeting every other Tuesday beginning on January 22. The next meeting is planned for 6:30 p.m. on February 5 in Conference Room B at the hospital.
