TROY, Missouri – Pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Ray recently joined Mercy Clinic Primary Care, 1165 East Cherry St., in Troy, Missouri, and is now accepting new patients from birth through age 18.
Growing up, Dr. Ray knew she wanted to be a pediatrician. Though she said the death of a friend’s sibling from childhood cancer while she was in high school helped solidify her plans.
“I love kids and have always wanted to help them feel better,” she said. “When my friend’s sibling died, it was hard to witness and furthered my drive to accomplish my goal.”
She loves getting to know her patients and their families and watching the kids grow and change. “It makes me feel old at times, but it’s always rewarding to see my patients hit milestones such as when a toddler starts kindergarten.”
While she moved around often as a kid, Dr. Ray has been in the St. Louis area since middle school. She graduated from Rockwood Summit High School and earned her medical degree at University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
