Q. Did you always know you wanted to be a doctor/health care provider? And what drew you to family medicine and geriatric medicine?
A. As a young child I was exposed to a tremendous amount of medical professionals because of a sick grandfather. I wanted to help people like my grandfather and decided as a child that I wanted to be a doctor so I could help the elderly. When I was in medical school, I fell in love with helping people of all ages and decided on family medicine so I could take care of all ages.
Q. What is your favorite thing about your job?
A. I greatly enjoy hearing about the patients' lives, helping to celebrate their joys, and comforting them during their sorrows. I hope to be a bright spot in other’s lives despite the sad times and health struggles that the patients may be experiencing. I hope that I can be someone to help shoulder some of their burden as they walk their health care journey.
Q. What made you want to join Mercy?
A. I am excited about the opportunity for growth for our community and to have an integrated health care system with the entire Mercy system.
