ST. LOUIS - Mercy Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive Betty Jo Rocchio shared how an AI-powered workforce solution saved money while increasing nursing satisfaction. In a recent Healthcare IT News article, she explained that Mercy nurses now represent five generations, each with different working preferences.
"During the pandemic, Mercy nurses departed for increased compensation, but pay wasn't the main driver," Rocchio said. "Their workload for what we were paying them was the catalyst. Clinicians are no longer tolerating pre-pandemic working conditions and they want more control over their schedules."
