Mercy is bringing its primary care services to Alma with a new 5,000-square-foot clinic set to open July 11.
Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Heather Lane, located at 605 Heather Lane in Alma, is Mercy’s first clinic in the city. Family nurse practitioner Marissa Lawrence will care for patients in the new space, and more primary care providers will be added in the future.
The new clinic will provide comprehensive, compassionate primary care services to help adults, children and seniors live healthier lives. Providers are specialized to handle routine health care needs, including:
· Preventive care and health screenings.
· Vaccinations and immunizations.
· Diagnoses and care for common illnesses and minor injuries.
· Management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
· Referrals to a specialist, when needed.
Services also include annual physical health check-ups, sports physicals, medication management, same-day acute care access and diagnostic services including lab and X-ray.
“We are excited to bring Mercy primary care services to residents in Alma and the surrounding communities,” said Steve Gebhart, vice president of operations for primary care at Mercy. “This is an opportunity for Mercy to expand its services in a new location; we are growing in an effort to meet the needs of patients where they live.”
