ST. LOUIS - Mercy President and CEO Steve Mackin was named on Becker's Hospital Review 2025 list of "Great Leaders in Healthcare." The list is compilation of leaders who are known to adjust to changes across the industry while shaping and driving transformation.
The publication notes that the executives on the list "harness cutting-edge digital technology, pioneer new care delivery models, and implement innovative solutions that enhance experiences for patients and providers alike."
Mackin's achievement highlights include patient, operational and financial improvements, including reduced emergency department-to-inpatient handoff time, reduced systemwide length of stay by more than one day over one year, and the prediction of many potentially life-threatening events before they occur.
