
ST. LOUIS – Mercy’s Nida Al-Ramahi, executive director of operational strategy, was honored with Modern Healthcare’s 2025 Innovators Award for her role in creating and leading the development and launch of Mercy Works on Demand (MWOD), a first-of-its-kind shift pickup app.

To date, the app has helped nurses claim more than 720,000 shifts, representing 6.3 million hours worked.
