Our team of doctors and nurses has been delivering babies in Lebanon for more than 25 years. Many have been on staff for a long time, sometimes delivering several babies for the same family. Private Birthing Suites

At Mercy Birthplace - Lebanon, we offer a personalized, home-like birthing experience with eight private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms. These suites allow you to labor, deliver and bond with your baby all in the same room.

Our care team prioritizes family-centered care that addresses the needs of every person in your family. This approach allows for more family bonding time and space for new moms and dads to learn useful parenting skills. We also offer round-the-clock pediatric, physician and anesthesia coverage. 

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

We hope you and your family experience a seamless birthing experience. But if you ever need extra care, we'll get you to our best-in-class Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mercy Hospital Springfield.

In the event of an emergency, your Mercy doctor will be able to access vital maternal and neonatal services quickly. If a higher level of care is needed, our NICU transport team can act quickly to make sure care for you or your new baby isn't delayed.

If your condition is stable following delivery, you'll be able to travel with your baby to Springfield. During a potentially challenging situation, we always prioritize keeping your family together, if possible. 

Lactation Support

When it comes to breastfeeding your little one, we know there can be many obstacles. Our nurses have experience working with new mothers and can offer their expert advice, so you start off on the right foot. We have one International Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff and a second certified lactation consultant ready to support you. 

Family-Centered Care 

At Mercy Birthplace - Lebanon, our family medicine obstetrics program means that your family medicine doctor can deliver your baby. Plus, our family medicine obstetricians can do both vaginal and c-section deliveries.

We know that a strong family connection is key to not only your comfort, but also good health care outcomes. That's why your family medicine provider has the ability to care for you during your pregnancy, labor and postpartum periods. They can also serve as your new baby's primary medical doctor, making care for your whole family seamless.
