Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital - Lincoln is a physician-supervised program that can help improve your symptoms and your heart function. Cardiac rehab has been proven to decrease your chances of a repeat heart attack and improve life expectancy. These benefits last up to five years following participation in a program. You’ll gain confidence as you learn healthy living habits and exercise in a safe, supervised setting. We encourage your spouse or support person to participate with you.
You may receive cardiac rehab if you’ve had a heart attack or heart surgery (or other heart procedures), but we also see people with ongoing heart concerns who want to improve their quality of life and overall health.
Cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation is part of Mercy’s heart care program, emphasizing heart healthy living and providing you with the knowledge and power to make appropriate lifestyle changes.
Our team of clinicians will work with your physician to develop an individualized cardiac rehabilitation plan tailored to meet your specific needs and individual health concerns.
