Patricia Limpert, MD, FACS, works closely with Nurse Navigator, Krista Engemann, RN, BSN and Mercy medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and plastic surgeons in helping patients and families through diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Nurse Navigator
A Breast Health Nurse Navigator is a registered nurse with expertise in breast cancer detection and care. She provides guidance, education and support for our breast cancer patients.
Krista is available to all breast care patients and serves as a coordinator throughout every step of detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
As your navigator, Krista:
- Serves as an educator, advocate and guide
- Provides emotional support for you and your family
- Coordinates appointments at Mercy Breast Surgery or with physician specialists in oncology, radiation oncology and additional services
- Clarifies medical terminology
- Provides educational materials
- Acts as a liaison for specialists and resources within our local community
- Explains options and answers to help you make informed decisions
- Assists with health insurance questions
- Advocates for underinsured and uninsured women for financial aid
