How Is Palliative Care Different From Hospice?

Palliative care and hospice both focus on improving quality of life for people with serious illnesses. However, hospice is only an option when a doctor estimates a person is in their last six months of life. Palliative care can start as soon as you’re diagnosed with a serious illness or as you’re managing your condition. With palliative care, your treatments can continue. In hospice, attempts to cure illnesses are stopped.

Whatever your age or stage of illness, palliative care offers extra support and resources to help you manage your condition.
