No one should have to fight a cancer diagnosis on their own. That's why the Sindelar Cancer Center has several support groups available for cancer patients and their families. Sessions are held on the campus of Mercy Hospital South. If you're interested, ask your care team when the next group is meeting.

Faith is the foundation of everything we do at Mercy. And pastoral care services can be an important part of any cancer care journey. In addition to our on-site chapel, we have chaplains available 24/7 to support your spiritual care needs.

The cost of any cancer treatment is a common concern for many patients. At the Sindelar Cancer Center, we don't want the cost of any procedure to prevent you from receiving care. If you need financial support, our financial counseling services can connect you with a number of resources to help.

Mercy Hospital South has a long-standing reputation for offering not only premier medical care, but also emotional and spiritual support for patients nearing the end of life. We can provide compassionate hospice services in your home or at the Fern de Greeff Hospice House on our campus.

Nutrition is a large part of cancer treatment. Proper nutrition can help you tolerate treatments better and improve outcomes. Registered and licensed dietitians are available to meet with you and your family to discuss any diet concerns. Our dietitians also work with charitable organizations to help patients who can't afford supplements access the products they need.

While receiving cancer treatment, you may experience pain, anxiety, depression, nausea or fatigue. Palliative care focuses on relieving these symptoms. Our board-certified internal medicine specialists are ready to help you with advanced techniques in palliative medicine.

The Sindelar Cancer Center has a social worker on staff specially trained to work with cancer patients. If you need extra support, they'll work with you to alleviate any emotional pain or distress related to your cancer diagnosis or treatment.
