The Mercy Diabetes Education Center - Cassville is an important resource for all of our patients.
You’ll learn to manage your diabetes through proper nutrition; exercise; stress management and coping skills; medical care; and the motivation you need to change your life for the better. Your health care provider will send a diabetes education and a Registered Dietitian and Registered Nurse will provide the education.
Our Mercy Diabetes and Nutrition Center team consists of a nurse practitioner, registered nurse and registered dietitian - all who have earned recognition as leaders in diabetes education. They provide Type II adults and pediatric patients, Type I adults, gestational diabetic patients, and pre-diabetic patients with the support and training they need, including:
We offer small group classes and individual sessions for diabetes self management. Our sessions include: Gestational Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes.
Nutrition counseling is provided by a registered licensed dietitian who will include an individual nutritional assessment with meal planning and goal setting.
