As a certified Level II trauma center, the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital Joplin is prepared to care for patients suffering a heart attack, stroke or physical trauma.

To receive SANE services, it’s best to visit our Emergency Department as soon as possible after the assault, but at least within five days. Try not to drink, chew gum, eat, change clothes or shower. However, if you did these things, that’s okay. You should still come to the hospital.
