Infusion Center St. Louis

The outpatient infusion center in St. Louis at Mercy Hospital South provides a comfortable, relaxed setting for patients to receive infusion services such as chemotherapy. Our center is supervised by a certified oncology nurse with a team of RNs and support staff who are specifically educated on the care of infusion patients.

Outpatient Chemotherapy & Infusion Services

Treatments are scheduled in cycles — typically over several days or weeks — and can last from 15 minutes to several hours each time, depending on each patient’s customized treatment plan. In addition to on-site treatment, we also offer services closer to home for patients seen in other facilities. We collaborate directly with your referring physician to coordinate infusion therapy.

Infusion Center Amenities

  • The infusion center includes three different spaces where patients can choose to receive treatment based on the level of privacy they want.
  • A community room allows them to spend time with other patients, especially those patients they may see on a regular basis because they receive treatment on similar schedules.
  • The open room includes a fireplace, a virtual aquarium and a great view of the outdoors from the second floor.
  • Separate rooms are also available for those seeking a bit more privacy during their treatment.
  • Televisions and internet access, help patients pass the time.
  • Warm blankets and pillows also are provided, as are lunch and snacks throughout the day.
