A child with a speech disorder has a problem with the production of sounds. A child with a language disorder has a problem understanding words or combining words to express ideas.
If your child is experiencing any of these issues, Mercy Kids’ certified speech language pathologists can help determine if your child needs therapy, as well as determine the best way to treat them.
Our speech language pathology services include:
- Speech and articulation delays/disorders
- Receptive and expressive language disorders
- Stuttering, voice/vocal cord disorders
- Feeding/swallowing
- Social skills
- Tongue thrust
- Cleft palate and craniofacial deformities
- Resonance disorders
Imaging tests (endoscopy and/or x-ray) for speech and swallowing are available in coordination with our therapy staff.
