Located at Mercy Kids Mid Rivers in Cottleville, our innovative therapy center is equipped to serve children of all ages and abilities. Our skilled therapists work with the family to improve the child’s functional abilities and quality of life.

At Mercy Kids Therapy Services, you’ll find a complete team of pediatric experts working together to help your child with his or her specific challenges. We develop a comprehensive care plan that may involve multiple approaches, including medical evaluations, therapeutic interventions or other supportive services. We work together with family members and care providers to maximize your child’s progress.

Therapy programs are offered that help improve children’s functional abilities and quality of life. Skilled therapists work with children of all ages to address a variety of needs including fine motor, gross motor, cognitive skills, and speech and language issues, as well as physical and emotional development.

Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center Services

We offer a wide range of therapies and programs designed to help your child grow and develop at a pace that works for them. Our services include: 

  • Occupational Therapy – helps kids reach important developmental milestones by developing their motor skills, sensory processing and more  
  • Physical Therapy – helps kids reach age-appropriate goals related to balance, coordination, posture and more
  • Speech-language Therapy – helps children learn to manage a variety of language and speech disorders to better interact with the world around them
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – replaces or supplements spoken language with other useful methods of communication, including sign language 
  • The Hanen Centre® Parent Education Program – enables parents to help their young children develop lifelong language, literacy and social skills through everyday activities
  • Custom Orthotics and Splinting – can help improve range of motion in children with orthopedic conditions, birth defects and more
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Follow-up – offers intervention and therapy recommendations for families needing extra support for their newborn

Cancellation Policy

We would appreciate being notified at least 24 hours prior to canceling a scheduled appointment. We realize that there are illnesses and accidents that may occur shortly before appointments which will be handled on a case by case basis. However, we would still appreciate notification. For Your Visit Please Bring

  • A prescription from your primary care doctor or referring physician stating a diagnosis code and the type of service requested. (For example "speech evaluation for articulation and treat as needed"), or have your physician send a prescription for the desired therapy to the Mercy Children's Therapy and Development Center fax at 636-229-3371
  • Pre-authorization from your insurance company if indicated
  • Information prior to the visit is helpful so that the therapists can plan what testing materials are needed as well as maximize cooperation from your child since they will be experiencing a new person and environment
