Our mammography van brings cancer screening to you in locations throughout the eastern Missouri region. Exams typically take just 15 minutes to complete. Typically exams take just 15 minutes (or 30 minutes if you have breast implants).
Bring your photo ID and medical insurance card.
With a MyMercy account, you’ll see results in 24-72 hours. If you don’t use MyMercy, results come by mail within two weeks. If you had a prior mammogram at a non-Mercy facility, we’ll try to obtain the images for comparison, which may take a few weeks.
You’ll be asked to schedule additional imaging at a Mercy facility. This may include ultrasound imaging to determine whether it’s a normal breast change or if more testing or a biopsy is needed.
Start at age 40 if you’re at average risk of breast cancer — meaning you have no family history of the disease or other risk factors. If you have a family history of breast cancer or other risks, talk with your doctor about the schedule that’s right for you.
