About Ashlynn Elizabeth Garzon, PA

Care Philosophy Originally, I wanted to be a teacher and worked as a teacher's aide. My interest in healthcare grew when a student I worked with got seriously ill. This led me to explore a career as a physician assistant (PA). While I always carry a teacher's heart, I find joy in educating families on caring for their kids. Working with children is a delight; their infectious joy makes my days fulfilling. I also enjoy supporting parents through the journey of parenthood. My goal is to provide evidence-based medicine with compassion. I want my patients and their parents to trust me and feel comfortable asking any questions. Listening is my priority because their stories matter, and I'm dedicated to seeing their children thrive. Being fluent in Spanish allows me to connect with Spanish-speaking families, ensuring equal access to care for every patient.

        The staff was very friendly and normally I feel rushed at the Santa Fe location but not this time. I felt heard and was given ample time to explain my concerns

        We were told there was an after hours physician on call to answer any questions or concerns. Come to find out the after hours is a call center and are not physicians or nurses. I called them due to orders the doctor sent in after hours and the "after hours" line was the call center who said they were unable to assist nor get us with an on call physician. Zero after hours support as promised. Mercy is becoming less and less about the patients and more and more about profit. Always sending us to the "ER" vs in office practice. Having a "call center" vs a true after hours physician? Mercy was never like this prior to 2020. Might need to look at switching as much as I don't want to. Mercy used to be so great with patient care but is now on the decline in just a short period
