Disappointing team effort as we were in the office for a total of 2 hours for this appointment. We were actually forgotten about after the doctor left the room & said the nurse would be right in to get his blood for a ferritin test. When the doctor walked out I saw her put something up on the outside of the door & after a 20 minute wait I had to go back out to get the nurse to do the blood draw. I found the nurse on her cell phone. Not sure where the breakdown in communication was, but the nurse said she was just helping out. After the time it took to pinch the blood out of his finger, we left at 5:40. Checked in at 3:30. A week has gone by & no results for the blood drawn. I had to ask about it. They responded saying the wrong tube was used so the test was never ran. How does that affect the blood? I will now have to take off from work again & check him out of school early again just to have this done.
