Ann Mwangi-Amann Wins DAISY Award

Ann Mwangi-Amann, an emergency department nurse at Lincoln treated a patient with dignity and provided him the resources he needed without hesitation. A co-worker who nominated her wrote: 

"Ann went above and beyond for a homeless veteran recently. He was lacking resources and was having financial troubles. She went out of her way to help him find resources. When Ann received a phone call from the pharmacy that the patient was unable to pay for his needed prescriptions, without hesitation, Ann jumped up and went out and paid for his prescriptions."

"She shows so much compassion for her patients. I would love to have any member of my family cared for by her."
