Our Birthing Suites 

The Mercy Birthing Center at Mercy Hospital Joplin offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. From check in to check out, you'll remain in the same room throughout your entire stay. Your baby will even stay with you until it's time to go home.

Our spacious, private birth suites offer:

• State-of-the-art medical technology to ensure a safe birthing experience for you and your newborn
• A convertible couch for the comfort of your support partner
• Free Wi-Fi and cable TV

Two fully equipped operating rooms within the birthing center are also available for potentially complicated deliveries, like C-sections.

Your health care plan is an important part of your delivery. That's why we're committed to fulfilling as many of your wishes as possible.

Our caring team of nurses will provide you with essential information to care for your newborn and yourself. If you need help with breastfeeding, we have lactation specialists on staff ready to offer useful tips and advice.

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The Mercy Hospital Joplin Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers the region's best care for premature or critically ill infants. Our NICU is staffed by neonatologists and licensed neonatal nurse practitioners who work together to coordinate expert care for your new baby.

Each room in our NICU is fully equipped with advanced medical technology to help little ones who need extra attention. Plus, it's staffed round the clock, so you can rest assured we're ready to spring into action if anything happens.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room offers new parents and family members of NICU patients a dedicated place to rest and regroup during your stay.
