Mercy Breast Surgery at Clayton and Clarkson in St. Louis has two fellowship-trained breast surgeons, who are experienced in the treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease. As part of our Mercy Cancer Services team, they work closely with Mercy medical oncologists and radiation oncologists in helping patients and families through diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Our breast surgeons also collaborate with Mercy plastic surgeons who perform breast reconstruction surgery following breast cancer and mastectomy surgery.
Our breast surgeons provide the following services and treatments:
We offer a “one-stop” healing experience that treats the whole person – body, mind and spirit. From surgery to chemotherapy to radiation to social services and integrative medicine, our team is here for you – any way you need us.
For women with a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors, Mercy Breast Surgery offers a High-Risk Breast Program in St. Louis to help those patients learn more earlier. Information is collected as part of an annual mammogram and used to calculate the estimated lifetime risk for developing breast cancer using an assessment model. Patients with more than a 20% lifetime risk may be eligible for additional high-risk screenings including a breast MRI and genetic testing, along with additional consultation.
