Your nurse will be happy to help with lactation support. If you need extra help, Mercy offers outpatient breastfeeding support classes.
With a Level II special care nursery on the floor, we can provide much of the same type of care you’ll find at a Level II NICU. For babies needing more critical care, our specially trained NICU transport team is at the ready. They escort infants by land or air to the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mercy Children’s Hospital, where babies receive the highest level of neonatal care in St. Louis County.

Car seats should be properly fitted and installed to ensure the safest transportation for your child. Parents may bring their child, vehicle and car seat, and a certified child passenger safety technician will inspect the seat, check it for a correct fit to the child and show parents how to install it properly. We'll also help make sure everyone in a vehicle is buckling up safely.
Join other parents and their babies for breastfeeding advice, a weight and nutrition check for baby. Share your experiences with other new moms and make new friends. The group is facilitated by a maternal child educator/ lactation consultant, registered nurse.
