Mercy Children’s Therapy and Development Center in St. Louis is here for children with developmental delays, bringing together help from supportive family and caring health professionals who specialize in medical and developmental disorders.

At Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center, your family will meet with experts who understand the causes of developmental delays and can intervene with therapies that enhance your child’s quality of life.

Located inside the Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center, Mercy Kids Autism Center offers a variety of services for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Together, we can help you create an environment that encourages your child’s progress and fosters greater participation in family life.

Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center Services

We offer a wide range of therapies and programs designed to help your child grow and develop at a pace that works for them. Our services include: 

  • Occupational Therapy – helps kids reach important developmental milestones by developing their motor skills, sensory processing and more  
  • Physical Therapy – helps kids reach age-appropriate goals related to balance, coordination, posture and more
  • Speech-language Therapy – helps children learn to manage a variety of language and speech disorders to better interact with the world around them 
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – replaces or supplements spoken language with other useful methods of communication, including sign language
  • The Hanen Centre® Parent Education Program – enables parents to help their young children develop lifelong language, literacy and social skills through everyday activities
  • Custom Orthotics and Splinting – can help improve range of motion in children with orthopedic conditions, birth defects and more
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Follow-up – offers intervention and therapy recommendations for families needing extra support for their newborn
