To meet the special needs of critically ill newborns, Mercy has designed a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Fort Smith, AR. Many births are successful but, for those moments of uncertainty, parents may have some peace in knowing that the most skilled staff and birthing experts are right there to meet their little one’s every need.
The Mercy Level IIIA NICU offers the most advanced facility, technology, and staff to care for our precious little ones during their most challenging first moments. Equipment housed on the premises, such as portable X-Ray machines, CPAP machines, and MRI/CT Scan equipment promotes minimal transport and maximum comfort for babies. Our Neonatologist and NICU trained nurses provide infants with the highest quality of care. Mercy uses every available resource to make baby healthy, happy, and sent home to her new family.
